Waiting...

Apple Tart

Lunch break now. Today is a BIG day for us. The result of the on-site evaluation will be notified today, at around 5 pm. If we get an endorsement from a domestic geoparks committee, we can go for the application for a global network member status.

The photo above is from last Sunday. The apple tart was soooooooooo good. No, I didn't make it myself. The shot was taken at a coffee shop in a nearby town.

... I hate waiting like this.

GOOD NEWS! WE DID IT!!
We got the endorsement and from tomorrow on, we will be working towards the next step! :D

I've been meaning to comment but haven't had internet all month.

I saw this on the Kochi news and instantly realized it was about what you had been working on! I had wanted to tell you congratulations. I will have to come over there sometime and check it out.

Is your offer still on the table to teach me to cook some food sometime? How long do you think it takes by car from lets say... Ino?

Hi Blaine,
Great to hear from you! Yes, PLEASE come and check out our geopark. I'll be your tour guide. I mean it!

And I would be more than happy to teach you how to cook some Japanese food. I'm no great chef, but I think I can handle some everyday-meal type dishes.

From Ino, it probably takes about 3.5 hours by car, I would say. If you are really interested in coming to our geopark, why don't you email me and I will tell you when I'm available.
:)

Hello Obachan,
Glad to hear your group got the go-ahead!

I don't know if this affects your readership, but I keep getting a "malware detected" warning whether I type in your blog's website or use my bookmark. I keep visiting anyways!

Thanks for sharing with us,
Maya

Hi Maya,
Thanks for your comment and thank you for letting me know about the warning that you're getting. So far I haven't gotten such a warning message when I accessed this blog from the PC at work or an internet cafe, but I'm really concerned. What antivirus software do you use? I'm going to ask other readers if they're experiencing the same thing.

Hi Obachan,
It was my Google browser itself that alerted me to the message. It is apparently a problem with the rpc.blogrolling.com site itself, and others have been affected as well. Looks like all is clear now.

I have McAfee for my virus detection, but it was the Google(Chrome)browser, not McAfee which caught this. Sorry for not clarifying that earlier.

Here is an actual Google site which addresses the issue:

Cheers,
Maya
